China successfully launched its fourth unmanned test spacecraft (Shenzhou IV) into orbit on December 30. The spacecraft was jointly manufactured by the Chinese Research Institute of Space Technology and the Shanghai Research Institute of Astronomical Technology, with scientific experiments developed by the CAS in cooperation with other domestic institutions.
